Care health insurance(all plans of Care has this line in the terms and conditions of the policy) has a line the below line mentioned in its permanent exclusions

"Illness or injury attributable to consumption, use, misuse or abuse of alcohol."

So even if a client declares that he consumes alcohol, the claim is still rejected in case there is health issue is it?

Yes, it may be rejected if the claim is for a treatment out of alcohol/drug abuse.

And this would now be a standard exclusion is all the policies, not just with Care

Treatment for Alcoholism, drug or substance abuse or any addictive condition and consequences thereof. Code – Excl12
