100% increase in premium .

We are a senior citizen couple living in Delhi. We have a health insurance cover from National India Insurance Co. Last year our premium was Rs 37405. This year we have been advised to pay Rs 70044. Two changes have been made. One is our cover has been increased from 2.5 lac to Rs 3 lac. We were not asked about this increase. And now treatment under Auervedic and homeopathic is also available.
I am a non pensionable retiree. Can you help.

You can write to the insurance company asking for explanation as to why the change to higher sum insured has been done. It is possible that the insurer might have withdrawn the product and migrated you to another one which has a higher sum insured.
