Base policy(Star Comprehensive) - 5 lakh with 10% copay.
Super top up(Star Super Surplus Gold) - 20 lakh with 3 lakh deductible.
Both, Base & Super top up policy are from Star Health.
Insured person Age - 63
Questions -
1) Copay from base policy will be covered/paid from super top up when deductible amount exceeds? If yes, base policy needs to be utilized completely(In this case 5 lakh) for copay to be covered from Super top up?
2) Should deductible amount be increased from 3 lakh to 5 lakh ?

Hi Amit,
Super top only gets triggered when you have exceeded the deductible limit in a specific Policy year
ie. If your hospitalisation bill exceeds your 3L deductible amount, you can claim the amount beyond that
