Hi Nitesh,

The Health Insurance policies issued by different insurers are all regulated by IRDAI. It is advisable to take the help of a Financial Advisor in the town where your father-in-law's family is located to identify the insurer who has relatively higher number of hospitals in the network in that town. Make sure that the policy you buy doesn't have room rent capping or sub limits for different health issues.

One important factor to consider is declare the medical history, if any.

Dear Nitesh

All health insurance is cashless if treatment is taken in network hospital of the insurer .

Proper approval has to be taken before the treatment .

In case , treatment is not taken then you can apply for reimbursement.

So apply as per guideline below :

1. Choose insurer which has best network hospital in town .

2. Declare all health history truthfully

3. Buy a floater for your parents in law but buy separate policy for brother in law .

4. Check the waiting period and sub limits .

Hope this clarifies
