Care heart + care enhance (Vs United health+national)

Hi vigilant investors/advisers,

My mother is a heart patient and had undergone angioplasty in 2014 and 2016 (different arteries). Currently she has total 8 lakhs of cover (3 lakh united started @ 1999 ; 5 lakh national started @2014 ). However both these plans have sub-limit on room and i pay Premium of Rs 36000.

I enquired with care health insurance and the representative said that i can buy care heart plan and if I pay for 3 years right away they can waive off waiting period of 2 years on heart (pre-existing).

This plan of care heart has sub-limits of 2.5 lakhs on any surgeries and additional sub-limit of 3.5 lakhs on renal failures.

What they are suggesting is buy a super top up with base care heart. Anything above sub limit can be claimed with super top up. Can someone please confirm if this works as they are promising to sell?

Getting a super top up with such PED won't be easy, plus the super top up will be quite expensive as well & if issued you'll have to serve additional waiting periods on the PED

Please ensure that the care rep offers you some form of written communication on such a thing.

Care enhance is the super top up with care but i have reservations wrt it's comprehensive coverage on heart ailment.

Hi

It's not advisable to change or port your policy at this age.

If Care Representative can Give You Guarantee in Written Communication than you may Take policy but chances of getting supertopup are next to nill.

Rather continue with The existing Cover simultaneously build a corpus by Investing in mutual fund which you can utilise in case of emergency.

Managed to get the policy of Care Enhance however with the below exclusions. I have asked them to define the "Related complications" piece as that is very broad and they can probably reject any claim saying related complication. Should I continue with it as it is atleast

Customer consent required or permanent exclusion on Coronary artery disease, Left ventricular Hypertrophy and its related complications and 4 year exclusion on hypertension
