Caught meningitis in December 2018. What are my options?

It is sad that you have not been able to get a health insurance for your needs. This is a common letdown for people once they suffer from a disease.

The only way to get through such a problem is to be persistent. Would recommend you don't give up and go through the following steps one after the other.

1. Take a target for a month's time and approach multiple private insurance companies through their toll-free, or contact an online web aggregator like Policybazaar or Coverfox.
2. The alternate route is to try Government Insurance companies - like New India, National, United India or Oriental Insurance through their local offices.
3. The last resort would be to check with Government sector banks in your area - they have group health insurance plans for their customer base. These plans are generally more liberal in their selection than the open market retail plans above. You have a higher chance with these plans - however you must note that these plans and hence the cover is dependent on the continuous relationship of the insurance company with the bank - hence this should be considered only as a last resort.
