Hi,
I have bought Niva bupa reassure in 2022 for my parent. I am thinking to have them treated at the Patanjali wellness center in Haridwar for ~7 days. This would be voluntary treatment and no doctor has recommended us for it. Can I claim this expense via imy nsurance

Hello Himanshu,
Medical expenses are covered under any Health Insurance policy only if the need for hospitalization is properly established by the treating doctor/hospital. Admission only for evaluation without active line treatment or voluntary treatments without a doctor's recommendation shall not be eligible for approvals under the health insurance plans & this clause holds true both for Allopathy or Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) hospitals.
Though ReAssure plan of Niva Bupa offers coverage for AYUSH treatments taken on an in-patient basis, one can expect approvals if and only if such admission is medically necessary and recommended by a qualified medical practitioner.
Hope this information helps you...
