Hello Everyone,

I have my mom's Cartract surgery coming up.. I have 2 group company health insurance policies. Will I be able to claim both the policies? (Both policies are from different insurers)

PS: surgery is done in 2 different days ( 1 day for 1 eye). So it may not be a single invoice from the hospital.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Prem,

Surgeries on 2 different days does not mean you would get 2 different bills. It may be same admission and procedures planned on consecutive days. So in that case, you'd get one single bill.

However, that can have a bearing on the claim. I can help check the eligibility for cataract surgery in both the policies. Can you send the insurance cards by email to me at, will revert with eligibility information.

Basis the eligibility data, I would be able to advise.
