I had a case of hyperthyroidism 3 years back which was treated in less than a week. Should I disclose it?

Similarly my wife had intercarnial hyper tension 10-15 yrs back. Worth sharing with health insurance provider?

Hello Manas,

Yes, you should disclose these details to the insurance company.

Ensuring complete transparency with the insurer is crucial. It is essential to declare all your hospitalizations, surgeries, ongoing medications, minor fractures, and previous medical history. While you may wonder if certain details are relevant or not, it is best to provide everything and let the insurance company assess the importance. Even the slightest oversight, error, or misrepresentation of your medical history could lead the insurer to decline your claim in the future, or even worse, cancel your policy.
