Can somebody explain the difference between top up & super top up policies?

Which are the best options among them currently?

Please check this article which covers the question in details - https://www.beshak.org/insurance/health-insurance/articles/how-to-choose-between-a-topup-and-super-topup-health-plan

For options, you'll need to study and compare the plans from different insurers and then decide. It is generally advisable to take the super top-up from the same company as the base plan for easier claim processing.

For a detailed understanding, please read the Beshak article suggested by Avinash on this thread above.

At the summary level, understand the following -

Super top-ups - Aggregate of all claims/expenses in a policy year is considered to meet the deductible threshold & activate the liability of Insurer.

Top-ups - The threshold of deductible should be met for every instance of hospitalization in order to activate the Insurer liability.

Super top-ups are better than top-ups any day.

Cheers!
