Disease detection after insurance purchase

Hi,
I had bought insurance for my father in June'22. In August'22, he was detected with Prostate cancer. He also underwent surgery for it in Sept'22. Its hospitalization cost was claimed through my employer insurance for parents. He is now undergoing normal oral medicine treatment.
Do I need to inform the insurance company about the disease detection? If yes, when do I need to inform - at renewal? Also, will they renew policy with this information?

Dear
It is very difficult to believe and establish that your father was diagnosed with prostate cancer after 30 days of policy commencement. But
So first collate al documents to establish that you were not aware about prostate problem in August then approach insurance company about the declaration .
Unless they find some lacuna in your declaration , else insurance company is legally bound to renew the contract. .
But in your case , chances are they will terminate the contract with allegation of non disclosure .
Best wishes
