Does health insurance covers Regarding Jaw Surgery | Orthognathic Surgery | Dental Surgery

Hi,
I have health insurance from Aditya Birla Capital's 1cr (5+95) insurance.
I have been suffering from Jaw joint issues for last 6-7 months now and might be a possibility that I need to get surgeries on the jaw which is called orthognathic surgery and is performed by a Maxillofacial Surgeon (Dental Surgeon).
These types of surgeries are also performed for aesthetic purposes as well but my case is purely a functional issue.
I need to understand if these type of surgery would be covered under the policy?
Unable to get a proper reply from the Aditya Birla Team

Hi Rajat,
Submit the initial diagnosis papers as well as the treatment advised along with the reason for the same from the treating doctor to the insurance company over an email and all them if it will be payable under your policy.
Usually, like you mentioned, such surgeries fall under cosmetic surgeries which are excluded in a health policy. But these cases are taken on a case to case basis by the insurer and evaluated basis the diagnosis and recommended treatment.
The insurance company is bound to give you a response if you send an email to them.
Hope this helps!
Cheers :)
