Endorsement for Disclosure of Medical Information - Post Issuance of Policy

Hello Sir,


I have taken Max Bupa Reassure Health Insurance in February 2021. I have realized that I didn't mention about a condition and sent a mail to customer service to consider the new declaration and provide me with an endorsement. They have closed the request saying it is considered after many days but didn't provide me with an endorsement even after following up but only closing the request saying it is resolved. Could you please let me know how to proceed to get the endorsement?

Endorsement to a policy is issued if there is any change in terms and conditions of coverage, premium, deductible, change in name, address or such other policy particulars.


Here there is no change in the policy as you have only made a disclosure to the insurance company. Due to this additional disclosure, if there is some change to be made in the policy such as increase in premium or modifications in coverage, the insurance company will do an endorsement to that effect.


In the absence of any such action by the insurer, it has to be presumed that the insurer has taken your disclosure on board. Your claim cannot be denied on account of non disclosure of material fact on this account. You should however, keep the acknowledgment mail from the insurance company in this regard for your records.

Dear Surya

Do two things

1. Send a mail to service and ask them to send you service request number .

2. If you have a Bupa office in town then submit a letter and take acknowledgement ..

Ideally insurance company should endorse the declaration and you should also demand by calling their service center .

Thank you sir. I have initiated request using mail and I have the service request number where they mentioned they have closed the request. I will try calling the service center. But as per Mr. Hari Radhakrishnan in previous comment, endorsement will not be provided for my case, I will contact customer care.
