Hello,
I have a HDFC term life insurance (plan: HDFC Life Click 2 Protect 3D Plus) purchased online through policy bazar. After couple of years purchasing the insurance, I moved to US (2 years now). I am still making premium payments.
- During my stay in US, does insurance covers me?
- I am not sure when I will move back to India. If I decide to settle here in US, shall I continue to keep the insurance from India?
- Anything else that I need to be aware of in this situation?

Dear Mangesh
1. All plans sold in India are universal and covers all insured events if supported with documents.
2. You can continue and it would cover you . Just write a mail to insurer about change of residence or nationality . Please note that claim will be paid in Indian rupees and in Indian bank only .
3. Any change in status should be updated in records of insurance company . Though it is not necessary but advisable .
Thanks

Hello jee,
Answering your queries below
1. Yes, insurance policy will cover you in US as well, rather worldwide coverage is there
2. Yes, insurance claim will be paid in case death happens outside India.
3. Nothing specifically, the policy was bought when you were Resident Individual and it covers later on as well even if the resident status is changed, claim will be paid to the beneficiary.
Thanks,
