Health Insurance Comparison

reply Share
01 Aug, 2022 by  Ankit Agarwal

I have an existing health insurance policy of 10 lakhs with HDFC Ergo ( Optima Restore Plan) wherein I am giving a premium of 12K approx. Recently, I received a call from Max Insurance where they are offering 10 lakhs policy for INR 9600/- ( Reassure Plan). As per the representative, Max offering looks much better than HDFC. Kindly suggest which plan should I opt for as my renewal is due coming week. Thank you

Hi Ankit,

Health Insurance Premiums do not depend just on the features of the various plans, but also have a weightage due to the brand equity of the Insurer, their claim settlement support and overall physical and digital infrastructure & systems.

I would suggest dont port your policies just because the premium on some other plan appears to be slightly less as of date, else every year you will be doing this exercise. Some companies have comparatively lower premiums at a younger entry age, but their premiums increase significantly after certain age slabs, as compared to others.

In case of Niva Bupa's ReAssure Plan, kindly check if your premium is Inclusive of Daily Hospital Cash + Safeguard Benefits. These are Optional Add On's which are highly recommended.

If you wish to continue with HDFC ERGO, then their latest Plan, viz: Optima Secure / Super Secure has better features than Optima Restore (Though the premium would be slightly higher than Optima Restore - your actual Sum Insured would be much higher)

Please feel free to contact me on +91                                      for more details and to get a comparative feature by feature comparison of Hdfc Ergo and Niva Bupa.

Thanks & Regards,

Milind Pandit

Dear Ankit,

It all depends on one's needs and budget. I might like a Honda City but you may like a Hyundai Creta.

Yes there are differences between the plans.

What makes Niva Bupa ReAssure Better than Optima Restore?

Niva Bupa Reassure - Home Treatment for Chemo & Dialysis, Unlimited Restore, Ayush, New Addon to cover for OPD etc

What makes HDFC Ergo Optima Restore better than ReAssure?

No Disease or Treatment based Capping

If you like a flashy life may be Creat will appeal to you, however if you like a sober life a Honda City tried and tested will work well.

Incase you wish to port your plan please read through portability article on Beshak's Website under Health Insurance. Alternatively schedule a call with any of the Beshak Advisor

Thanks
