Health Insurance for heart patient

I have 2 insurance policies for my mother(53) United India ( SI 3L bought in 1999) and National Insurance ( SI 5 L bought in 2014) . I want to review my options as the two insurance providers are not increasing SI . I think I must have atleast 15 L cover given that she has a heart condition .

I found that there are few heart plans but they have many sublimits on cerebrovascular or renal disorders along with bone fractures etc. Can this group of experts suggest a comprehensive plan that is cost efficient . She had also contracted COVID in 2020 but is doing well now with no major complaints as such except for joint pain which was also there earlier.

Hi Ashish,

Most heart specific insurance covers are available to people who have undergone a heart related surgical procedure. What's the heart condition your mother suffers from?

Did you try looking for a super top-up? Since the financial risk on Insurers is lower in case of top-ups, your probability of successfully finding a top up cover for your mother is higher.
