Health insurance for my mother

Hi, I have taken star health comprehensive health insurance for my mother when she is 57 years. It is been 3 years till now. My mother had a surgery almost 15 years back and no complications after that. During the policy inception I haven't informed this as it was almost 15 years old complication and haven't faced any issue later till date. Should I inform this now to the insurance company to avoid any future problems and if so how did we do it ?. Please provide your valuable suggestion . We haven't made any claim till date.

Hello Kiran,

This policy you have is issued based on a certain set of declarations from you - these were used by the insurance company to approve your proposal and give you an insurance policy. If this information changes - in case an insurance company realizes that you have hidden certain facts, they will be able to decline your claims and even cancel your policy in the future.

You must inform your insurance company immediately. Why take any chances?

HI Kiran,

Even I am looking to buy star health comprehensive health insurance for my parents.

Could you please share your experience with them and if possible mention the premium and coverage details.

Thanks,
