Health insurance option for PED Arthritis

22 yr old male with PED Seronegative Arthritis diagnosed in 2018. Which insurance companies do I have the best shot of getting policy with?

Dear Rahul

Sorry to know about condition.

Insurance company define it as auto immune disorder and generally exclude all auto immune disorder .

As you are young, you should try with leading insurers like Star , Bupa , HDFC Ergo and ICICI Lombard.

Give your age , education and medical history.

They may consider it with 48 month exclusion .

Thank you for the reply, Mr. Kumar sir. I tried applying to HDFC Ergo Optima Secure 2 crore plan but my proposal got rejected on the same day without a televerification call.

I spoke with ICICI Lombard on their customer service line and they said my PED makes me ineligible to be issued a policy.

Niva Bupa, Manipal Cigna, Abakan, Tata also said I can’t apply.

I’m currently working with Aditya Birla Health Insurance and they said I can apply. I will update here if my proposal gets accepted.

I have kept Star Health as a last option now.
