Hi please suggest,. There is health insurance policy covering mother (as proposer also) with three children in max Bupa since 2015. During month of April mother got died of Covid 19. Now only three children left (all are adult now). Policy is due for renewal in July'21. Please suggest whether policy can be renewed without mother.
My concern is that currently all siblings can't take take family floater without any of the parents.

Hi Ajit,
Yes, the policy can be renewed without the mother. One of them (preferably the eldest sibling) should become the new proposer of this policy by submitting a CHANGE REQUEST FORM at the time of renewal. Max Bupa has some plans which allow coverage of extended family members together under one family floater policy. One such plan is FAMILY FIRST. Please speak to Max Bupa & they should be able to guide you with this migration.
Another alternative could be for each of the siblings to migrate to an individual health insurance plan of Max Bupa.
They will get the continuity benefits (waiver of waiting periods on PED & mentioned illnesses) regardless of the option that they exercise.
Best Wishes,
Asad Akbar
