Health Insurance policy - death of one of the member

Please guide on how to delete a member i.e. co insured dies and there is one member left in the family policy.
Currenlly the Insurance Co. is vaguely answering the online/e mails saying they cannot assist due to underwriting guidelines, member can be deleted only by visiting local branch of company at the time of renewal and by submitting necessary documents.

Hi Sailash,
With which company do you have your existing policy? Generally any private company these days can do the needful with death certificate over customer care call or email.
