I am 40 years old and working in a govt PSU . My company covers the health insurance requirements of my and my family. I will be requiring health insurance only after retirement. Should i take a health insurance policy post retirment or a now itself. There will be no claims till the age of 60 years.

Dear Prabhu

For your post retirement health insurance , buy a super Top plan with deductible of Rs 10 lakh .

It will come very economical you can buy a cover of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 100 lakh.

Through super Top up , you would be savong approx Rs 20000 , start investing in mutual fund SIP . You will build pver Rs 10 lakh as emergency medical fund .

Hope this clarifies
