Hi,
You cannot cover an already pregnant lady for health insurance immediately under a new plan.
However there are plans available which provide coverage for maternity (both normal delivery & c-section delivery)with waiting periods ranging from 9-24 months.
These specific plans apart from covering delivery expenses also cover new born baby for any birth related complication, subject to certain limits and also provide for vaccination expenses.

Hi Ashok,
During mothers pregnancy most insurers shy away from offering any sort of insurance unless you've bought a plan that has maternity coverage that covers your baby from Day 1.
Incase the above scenario does not apply, you can include your new born in your existing plan upon renewal or if your current insurer allows mid term inclusion of baby only after 91 days.
Any medical expense arising towards babies I'll health will have to be covered out of pocket for the first 90 days.
