I am planning to buy a super top up plan and I ha 10 Lacs family floaters base plan(plus 3 lacs employees group cover). What should I set deductible amount in a super top up plan? To be more general, what should I consider while doing this?

You have two options. One is a super top up with a deductible of Rs.10 lakhs and the other is a super top up with a deductible of Rs.3 lakhs.

In the first option, if you have a claim exceeding, Rs.10 lakhs, you have to use the the family floater and the employee group insurance also. The price of super top up will be cheaper due to higher deductible.

In the second option, the super top up will sit over your employee group coverage. The family floater won’t be touched and its cumulative bonus and other benefits will be protected. But the super top up will be more expensive owing to its lower deductible.

Depending on how you want to employ your policies, you can take your pick.
