I have a health insurance plan from Future Generali with a cover of 15Lakhs floater for myself and my wife. Do you think we should still buy a Corona Kavach or Corona Rakshak? IMO - the cover I have should be enough even in case of a Covid admission - am I missing something?

We breathe insurance :)

Hello Manoj,

Despite a good cover, you could face deductions with respect to room rent limit (hospitals are overcharging for rooms), special hygiene costs with respect to COVID not covered by regular health insurance.

To cover these deductions, it makes sense to spend Rs. 2-3K on a Corona Rakshak policy, which pays Rs. 2.50 Lakhs as cash benefit in case of 72+ hours of hospitalization due to COVID19.

Mahavir
