I have past medical history but insurance company not providing me insurance

Please help me with this I had my brain hemorrhage when I was 15 years old (the year 2010). Now I am 26 years old and perfectly fine and not taking any medicines. But the concern is that I had applied for medical insurance in different companies, but no company is providing me health insurance because of my past history'.Can you help me please what can I do in that case? I have watched Mahavir Sir'ss video on IRDA's new guidelines. In which he mentioned ("People with serious illnesses to get cover with permanent exclusions".

Can you please help me with this? What can I do?

Thank you in advance

Hey Paritosh,

Sorry man, chips are stacked against you. As of date none of the underwriting rules allow someone with your medical history to get coverage. I would suggest please save money in your bank RD diligently over the years. You are very young, you can build a great corpus by the time you will retire or will need money for medical care.

Just FYI, say if you're buying a cover of 5 lakhs, we normally end up paying that amount as premium in about 15-18 years to insurance company. And you'd probably claim 2-3 times in your lifetime and not the full sum insured. So just follow the strategy I suggested above and you'd be fine.

Don't waste any time further in applying to insurers.

Happy to answer any followup questions.
