If new born baby addition issues

Hi team ,

My cousin have new born baby and kid have surgery on the same day/ insurance added same day (means surgery date and insurance addition added both same day) but he send an email before a week 

now we need disclose with insurance guys if yes - they might be cancel the policy or any waiting period on this
