Is it mandatory to cover the proposer under a family floater health insurance policy?

Hello,

My parents had purchased a health insurance policy and is in force, where I am registered as proposer as well as insured. Since I brought a policy for myself, I intend to remove myself from the family floater policy as insured person.

Is it possible to remove myself as an insured person and continue being the proposer of the policy? If yes and if the insurer does not agree for such change, what steps can be taken further?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Bhavin,

AFAIK, you can remove yourself from your parent's floater policy and still be a proposer. I think you should get in touch with our financial advisors and discuss this, They would be able to help you out better. Here's the link for you to schedule a call.
