Manipal Cigna Lifetime Health - Room Upgrade Rider

Hello,
This is regarding Health 360 - Advance rider from Manipal Cigna Lifetime Health Plan.
This rider allows us to upgrade from 'Any room except suite and above' category to 'Any room including suite' category.
However it is not clear, if they can still apply proportionate charges despite taking the rider. Can someone help me understand?
This question is applicable for other insurance companies too where any room can be availed clause. Like Tata AIA Medicare premier or Optima Restore from HDFC Ergo.
In general, can there still be proportional charges applicable if there are multiple suite categories available in the hospital and we avail the highest end room during hospitalization?

Hi,
If any company allows you to avail any room as mentioned in the policy / opted through a rider, it'll mean all the proportionate charges will also be paid by the company.
Such rider are introduced keeping in mind the proportionate charges clause
