Max Term Policy Rejected
Hello,
My sister just bought a policy of Max from Policybazaar with a cover of INR 1 crore in June of this year. Her age is 35. She had Covid in March'21 which was very mild. We disclosed all details before applying for the policy but still it got rejected. The reason they gave is that she contracted dengue previously which is very surprising because even in Dengue her symptoms were mild. What are the next steps we should take? Should we re-apply for a Max policy again?
Dear Rishabh
Mostly ,all Insurance companies are reviewing xases with Covid history and trying to reduce their term bucket .
I always believe in power of good agent . I recommend the following :
1. Represent case with clarity that covid was mild and details of medication take. . Same case history for Dengue .
2. Write a note about your sister , her occupation , habits , leave history , habits etc .
3. Apply for 50 lakh and for 20 years once this is accepted then you can seek addnl 50 lakh for longer term .
A good established agent has credibility and able to push such cases through interaction with underwriters .
Best wishes

Hi Rushabh,
Normally for such a rejection, insurer will tell a cooling period after which you can apply for policy again.
I would suggest that you post this question to Max and ask what is the time gap required between 2 proposal submissions. Basis that you can take next steps.
