Multiple claim possibility

Hi my friend admitted in a hospital for a surgery and I paid all the money by cash,He have two insurances one is provided by my employer and other one is his own. He take high quality xerox in good quality paper ( Colour xerox) You cant find the differences Then he submitted original bills claim to his employer and xerox to his own insurance claim. He got entire amount from both the insurance Is it possible. Is it legal.

Clearly a loophole that's been exploited, upon finding out during an audit there are chances the policy might get cancelled & penalty maybe levied.



Such practices are best advices against in interest of your own long term protection.

Though this is possible, this is not legal, and if the insurance company finds out of the double claim, they may reject the policy and as suggested by Pankaj ji, penalty will be levied


Insurance is meant to cover your financial losses only and not to make profits out of it
