Permanently Excluded Disease

Hello , I have been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis Post Covid complications which falls under Permanently Excluded Disease by IRDAI

They are offering me only Care Freedom Plan which has a 20% Co-pay and no other company is ready to insure , So needed some suggestions what could be done incase you have such permanently excluded disease my age is 25 and max cover they are offering is 5 lakhs

Hi Rupee,

Yes, most of the companies will not issue policy in case some has permanently excluded diseases before buying the policy.

You should go ahead with this plan from care freedom as don't have much choice.

Kindly go-ahead and buy the plan. I hope you are fully aware benefits the plan offers.

To wider your coverage you may explore to buy disease specific plans as well like Vector Borne Disease Insurance, Cancer Insurance & Cardiac Policy. Do understand these policies first on how they work.

Let's hope in few years for now there are regulation changes and the above condition gets coverage.
