Hello - I have heard that insurers have been rejecting new term life policies if the individual was detected Covid 19. My questions are :
- Is this true?
- If yes, what are the remedies?
- Can you name some specific insurers who are not rejecting new policies

Hello Shashank,
Yes, Insurers are currently flagging anyone who has a history of COVID19. Most insurers postpone their decision for 3-6 months before they consider your proposal - this means they would ask you to come back after 6 months of recovery from COVID19, helping them assess the risk better. In case there are any after effects like organ damage etc. in this 6 months period there are chances that the proposal may be again declined.
We therefore recommend people with financial dependents to not delay buying a term life cover, while you are healthy and safe.
