Portability of Health Insurance to a 1 Crore cover

I have a Apollo optima restore policy for last 5 years, i Haven't made any claim so far and my family floater cover amount has increased to 15lakh now. I want to increase my cover to 1cr, can i port existing policy, if yes which one will be best.

Hello Sachin,

Yes, you can port your policy to any other health insurance plan, including this policy that provides 1Cr. coverage.


1) Only credits for all waiting periods etc. will be ported for the entire sum insured including no claim bonus.

2) Just for clarification note, the No Claim Bonus (which is free cover right now) will become chargeable in the new plan. You will pay for the entire 1 Crore sum assured - which is fine - It is better right now that you move to an adequate base cover for the long run, and not worry about losing the free no claim bonus.
