Porting Health Insurance - Previous Insurer not issuing "No Claim Certificate"
I had a policy with Apollo Munich/HDFC Ergo health insurance and exercised portability option in Sept 2020 and transferred to Bajaj Allianz Health Insurance.
Bajaj Allianz was willing to transfer, Cumulative Bonus previously obtained prior 2019 and also the one obtained between 2019-2020 on the basis of the renewal notice or no claim certificate issued by the previous insurer which is Apollo Munich/ HDFC Ergo.
Apollo Munich has denied the No Claim Certificate for the previous year (2019-2020) on the basis a claim for "Preventive Health Check Up" was reimbursed whereas the terms and conditions of the policy clearly state that preventive health check up reimbursement does not affect the "In Patient Sum Insured" and does not affect the "Cumulative Bonus".
Done with following the matter as per the grievance redressal policy of the company and Integrated Grievance Management System (IGMS) of IRDA. Is Ombudsman the last option ?
