Possibility of Insurance for a specific undiagnosed PIL.
I am looking for a good health insurance plan with 10L cover for my mom aged 55 and dad aged 61. My mom had a brief period of purpuric patches on her legs for which we took some treatment, and it didn't reoccur. I applied for Niva Bupa Reassure, but they just rejected the application for my mom. They have rejected my mom saying that the purpuric patches she had, is a result of Venous Stasis Edema. But they are ready to provide the insurance for my dad.
Now, I am in a bit of confusion. Should I look for a different provider altogether for both my parents with someone like Star Assure or Digit Super Care. Or should I go ahead with Niva Bupa for my dad and a different provider for my mom which means it has to be two individual 10L covers and additional premium.
I think it's best you consult a advisor as cases need to be evaluated on holistic basis, underwriting norms vary company to company and the best fit can be assessed only through a detailed consultative process.
