Hi. I m having following ailments for which currently i m taking medicines -
BP
Diabetes (no insulin taking)
For Thyroid & Cholestrol - I had done tests few years back and was taking meds 6-7 years back for these. I would have taken them for a year or two 6-7 yrs back, but i stopped taking them after that. However for long time i haven't done any tests on these. Is it advisable to do the tests now and then self declare or is it ok not to declare these at all since i m not on medication
May i know if Care Insurance would be a good insurer and which are the plans that are most suitable?

Hi Suresh,
Here is what you can do:
- Talk to a good Insurance Advisor (Beshak may help in connecting you with one) & take her help in selecting an Insurer.
- Apply for health insurance with full disclosures (including the history of Thyroid & Cholestrol).
- I am sure the Insurer will have you go through a detailed medical examination. So, don't do it yourself.
Best Wishes,

Hi Suresh,
The pre-existing medical conditions can be declared in your proposal form while buying a health Insurance policy, it depends on the INSURER if they are willing to accept your proposal with the underlying health conditions.
They may also ask you to get your medicals done accordingly.
I suggest that you do not delay with the health Insurance as with age, risk also tend to increase.
