Hello Sir,

Sir watched your video "How Much Health Insurance Cover Do I Need?" and must say it is a very insightful video on buying health insurance.

I had a doubt related to the cover I should buy.

I would be really grateful if you would help me with it.

Sir, How much health insurance cover should be taken for a 27yr old and a 22 yr old?

If I go according to the logic that the cover should be relevant for your lifetime then the cover comes out to be 65 lakhs and 95 lakhs after adjusting inflation.

So should I buy this big cover now?

Hey Rahul,

Hope you are doing well and thanks a lot for your kind words! You should understand that Health Insurance is for your old age. Considering there are no preexisting diseases, I would suggest the 27-year-old person should go for a 30 Lakhs cover now and upgrade it to at least 50 Lakhs when s/he reached 35 years of age. On the other hand, the 22-year-old person could go for a 5 Lakhs cover now, upgrade this to a 30 Lakhs cover when s/he reaches 25-27 years of age, and again upgrade it to at least 50 Lakhs s/he reached 35 years of age.

Recently, we launched a new service called beshak Community Connect (BCC). With this service, we connect customers who are willing to buy Health insurance with curated financial advisors from our community - who help them buy the most appropriate health plan (and cover amount) as per their preference and lifestyle. This service is currently paused due to the overwhelming no. of requests received. In case you are willing to purchase health insurance, we would request you to please drop us an email at info@beshak.org and we will get back to you as soon as we resume the service.

Hope this helps!

Thanks!
