Query on Different rates charged by Hospitals

Dear Team
The Hospitals are charging different rates for the people who undergoes treatment in cash and for others who use insurance they are charging 20 to 30% extra . Is it allowed as per IRDA and Govt.regulations?

Dear Ashok,
IRDAI doesn't regulate hospital prices.
Insurers & their TPAs directly enter into a fair price agreement with their network hospitals and agree on a rate card for treatments, room charges, ICU charges, etc. If you notice any such malpractice, you can bring it to the notice of your Insurer.
