Query regarding 2 Accidental policies

Dear Members


My Annual salary is 10 Lakhs. I want to take 1cr accidental policy.

In that I want to take 50 lakhs accidental policy in Health insurance company and another 50 lakhs in Life insurance company as a rider. Can i take 2 accidental policies just like term insurance policies upto the SI eligibe. Is it a problem at claim time if there are 2 accidental policies . What are IRDA guidelines. Kindly inform

Hey Rayapu,

Hope you are well! As far as my knowledge goes, there are no restrictions imposed by IRDAI with respect to the purchase of accidental policies - whether standalone or as a rider. There are no distinct guidelines. Hence, you shouldn't face any problems at the time of claims.
