If my policy has a 1% room rent limit on Sum Insured of 5lakhs. But in 2 years, I have gathered a no claim bonus of 2lakhs. If I claim for 7lakhs, will my room rent limit be 1% of 7lakhs or 1% of 5lakhs?

Room rent limit applies on your policy's base Sum Insured. In this case, it will apply on 5 lacs.

Hi Manan,

Whatever be the no-claim bonus accumulated in the policy, the room rent limit is applicable on base cover. In your case, it would always be 5000 Rs per day. Keep in mind, this 5000 limit is compared to the total of per day room rent and daily nursing charge of the room category in which patient is admitted.
