Should I disclose missed pre-existing medical issue information after taking a policy during renewal

I have HDFC Ergo Optima secure policy and it has been renewal time of 2nd year. But i missed some medical conditions which I thought not so important.

Should I disclose these issues during renewal to insurer?

If yes Can I send it directly over email to insurer and request to incorporate the same during renewal?

Non disclosure of PED before buying the plan qualifies for cancellation of policy as the insurer views it as a case of misinformation at your end.

From my understanding it won't end well if you disclose the PED at this stage cos you might as well have to reapply for the plan afresh.

Hi Bijan Deb,

From my experience, if there's any non disclosure, we should actually send an email to the insurer from your registered email ID stating the PED along with the reason for not mentioning it earlier

Keep a copy of that email for your reference with your policy documents
