Hello Vikrant,
There are no standard cost implications in health insurance for smokers. You don't get charged differentially as a smoker. However, insurers ask detailed questions about your lifestyle habits including smoking habits to ascertain the risk they are covering. In case someone smokes excessively - like 10 cigarettes a day, depending on your age, you could be asked for additional medical tests or additional premium or both. Some insurers may even decline the cover, of the declaration of a bad smoking habit is coupled with other lifestyle conditions like being overweight or having a chronic disease.
