Hello Sir,

My father had angioplasty in 2016 and after that no any major surgery/treatment. He is 61 now. Due to misguidance from agent his previous policy is cancelled. Now Care is offering Care Heart plan(port) with premium of 35500/-. Star has declined Cardiac Platinum and offering Comprehensive plan(Fresh). Below are the pros & cons I've found till now. Kindly suggest which one is better for father. p.s policy renewal date was 19/12/2022.

Care Heart:

+ Port

+ No waiting period

+ Cover Non consumable

- copay 20%

- Premium 35,500/-

Star Comprehensive:

+ Less premium 28866/-

+ 10% copay

- Fresh Policy

- waiting period for PED - 3 years

- couldn't find any details about sub limits

Let me know if any other details are required.

Hi Maulik,

From an overall perspective, the Star Health Comprehensive plan is a better plan when compared with the Care Insurance Care Heart plan. If your father's previous policy has been canceled, I would suggest you go with the Star Health Comprehensive plan.

Also, it would be best for you to get in touch with one of our top advisors. They would be able to help you figure out the best way forward.

Thanks!
