Hi, I took Star Health Insurance of 10 Lakhs but they reduced it to 5 L SI because of PED. Now I want to take Super Top as well of atleast 25 L although I should have taken it then itself.

pls suggest me which insurer should i go ahead with now?

Hi Abhishek,

You haven't mentioned which all family members are covered in your base policy and PED because of which the SI was reduced.

However, for ease of claim processing if you need it, it is suggested to take super top up policy from same insurer as your base policy. This makes the claims easier to process which much less paperwork. Of course, there is no restriction as such and you may choose another provider as well depending on features and pricing of different products.

Also, I suggest that you keep the dates for base cover and super top up as close as possible to avoid overlap issues. Hope this helps.

Hey Abhishek,

I agree with the advice given by Mohit.

Buy covers with coinciding or nearly coinciding renewal dates for maximum overlap of policy period.
