Term insurance application getting Declined due to CKD
I applied for Max life term insurance recently with all details about pre-existing disease. It got declined quoting Surgery, whereas there was no surgery done ever.
I applied for HDFC life insurance after max policy rejection and it has been declined as well considering my PED.
I got diagnosed with IgaN (CKD) in 2017 post viral fever episode when doctor noticed protein content in urine. Although there has not been any issue with Renal functions.
I have shared all the reports, recent test reports with HDFC life insurance along with doctor's certificate which states that Renal functions are normal and there is no protein leak incidents.
I am kind of disappointed with rejections of policies. It's seems unreasonable and somewhere I feel disclosing everything would have caused it.
Max life did medical tests and all reports were fine and had no reasons to reject policy. I don't know if I should apply to next insurer or just stay put.
Hello Manoj,
I understand your frustration with the recent policy application rejections. It's unfortunate that these rejections have occurred despite your efforts to provide accurate information and medical evidence. When dealing with chronic diseases, obtaining term insurance can indeed become more challenging due to the perceived risks.
Given your situation, you should explore multiple insurance companies to find one that is more accommodating to your specific health condition. Insurance companies have varying underwriting criteria, and some may be more willing to provide coverage based on your unique circumstances. I would recommend you check out our free 1-to-1 personal consultation service. This service allows you to connect with an advisor who can provide tailored guidance and help you navigate the insurance landscape with ease. They can assist you in finding an insurer that may be more open to offering coverage considering your medical history. Sharing the link here for your ready reference: https://www.beshak.org/advisor/
Also, please keep in mind that honesty and accuracy are paramount when making declarations during the insurance application process. While it might be tempting to withhold certain information in order to secure a policy, this approach can lead to serious complications down the road. In the unfortunate event of a claim, any inconsistencies or dishonesty in your application can potentially create issues at the time of claim. This would leave your family in a precarious situation during what is already a challenging time. By providing truthful and accurate information, you establish a solid foundation for your insurance policy, ensuring that your family will have the financial protection they need in the event of a claim.
Thank you!
