My sister had stent operation in 2007, she got separated and stent was removed in 2015. She has no complications since then, I'm unable to assess, whether I will get health cover or not. She will be turning 40 in January. Please respond

Hey Mayank,

Your sister should be able to get insurance. My recommendation: First try with public sector insurers such as New India, National, United or Oriental. If they're not able to cover, then we have to look at alternatives.

Have you already tried buying insurance for her in the past?

What does your current research or discussion with insurance advisors indicate?

Hi Anuj, Thank you for your response. This is mistake on my part, that I'm looking for health insurance for her in her 40. I tried recently, with one insurance advisor, he said he tried with various private ones, asked me to apply with Religare(Care), I paid premium for Care Advantage plan/ Care Freedom plan but no luck. He said underwriter rejected it. Please advise, how to look for alternatives. Please help!!

Hi Mayank for your reply.

If you have the rejection letter from Religare, can you share it to me on anuj@sureclaim.in

As I said, give a shot to public sector insurers.
