My father had angioplasty 8 years back when he was not covered under any insurance policy. Bajaj Allianz clearly refused to offer any policy. What are my options? Please help. Thanks

Star Health Cardiac Care would have covered your father had his angioplasty been done within last 7 years.

Please read about the eligibility of Cardiac Care here:

Care Heart from Care Health Insurance (erstwhile Religare) is also given to people who have undergone stenting within last 7 years.

Am not quite sure if he has any other options. Check the following article on Policybazaar. Although most of the plans that PB has mentioned are critical illness plans that cover cardiovascular medical conditions, they are not meant for people who have already had a heart attack, stenting or a By-pass. Nevertheless, read it once & see if there is anything that suits.

Best Wishes,
