Will Pre-existing diseases clause applicable if a new diseases indentify while porting.

Planning to port - ICICI Lombard

1. According to the doctor, grade-1 fatty liver is not a serious condition and does not need to be treated with medicine. However, an ICICI Lombard sales representative advised me to adhere to the Pre-existing illnesses provision. Do you think a sales executive can respond to this query or do you think it needs to go to an underwriter review if I need to sever clause?
2. How can the underwriter be contacted if the sales executive is the wrong one to determine whether or not the offer is appropriate? Or do you have any alternative suggestions?
3. Are you suggesting continuing with the existing policy because they are going to cover it anyway?
4. Any other suggestion you would to suggest?

A pre-existing disease (PED) is defined as any medical condition, ailment or injury for which you’ve had a positive diagnosis or have undertaken treatment within 48 months prior to applying for health insurance. So, serious or not, any illness or injury that exists within 48 months before applying for health insurance is considered a pre-existing disease - and PED waiting period will be applicable on such diseases. Also, customers cannot directly contact the underwriter. And given your situation, I think you should continue with your existing ReAssure policy.
