Care Insurance Care
The Care Insurance Care Plan offers comprehensive coverage, encompassing hospitalisation expenses, pre-hospitalisation, and post-hospitalisation costs. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for up to 30 days before hospitalisation, while post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for up to 60 days after discharge, all up to the sum insured. Furthermore, the policy covers 541 day care treatments along with modern treatments, both up to the sum insured. Domiciliary treatments (except 12 illnesses) are covered up to 10% of the sum insured and organ donor expenses related to harvesting the organ are covered up to Rs 1 lakh. Consumables are also covered up to the sum insured. With the Care Insurance Care Plan, you can choose only up to a single private AC room during your hospital stay. There is no ICU rent limit or deductible limit. However, there is a 20% copayment for individuals aged 61 years and above. The policy does not impose any restrictions on common treatments or surgeries, such as cataract treatment, joint replacement surgery, etc. Under this plan, the waiting period for pre-existing diseases is 24 months if you choose an add-on, and specific diseases also have a 24-month waiting period.

As part of the Royal Sundaram Lifeline (Supreme) Plan, hospitalisation expenses as well as pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered.
