Niva Bupa Health Companion
As part of the Niva Bupa Health Companion Plan, hospitalisation expenses as well as pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 30 days before hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 60 days after discharge, both up to the sum insured. Additionally, the plan covers all day care treatments, domiciliary treatments, inpatient organ donor expenses, and modern treatments (except robotic surgeries) up to the sum insured. It also covers consumables up to the sum insured, if you opt for an add-on. The Niva Bupa Health Companion Plan comes with no room rent limits. But, if you get hospitalised in the ICU, there is a rent limit; you can choose any room except suites. There are no financial sub-limits on common treatments or surgeries like cataract treatments, joint replacement surgeries, etc., and the plan doesn’t come with any copays either. However, there is an optional deductible of Rs 1 Lakh, 2 Lakhs, 3 Lakhs, 4 Lakhs, 5 Lakhs, or 10 Lakhs. The Niva Bupa Health Companion Plan has a waiting period of 36 months for pre-existing diseases and a waiting period of 24 months for specific diseases.
Aditya Birla Activ Health Platinum (Enhanced)
As part of the Aditya Birla Activ Health Platinum - Enhanced Plan, hospitalisation expenses and pre and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered. Pre-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 60 days before hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation expenses are covered for 180 days after discharge - up to the sum insured. Additionally, the plan covers 586 day care treatments, domiciliary treatments (except 9 illnesses), organ donor expenses related to harvesting the organ, and modern treatments up to the sum insured. Expenses associated with the consumables are covered up to the sum insured – if you opt for an add-on. The Aditya Birla Activ Health Platinum – Enhanced Plan gives you the freedom to choose any room as per your preference without imposing any limits if you opt for an add-on. Further, it has no ICU rent limit, copayment limit, deductible limit, or sub-limits on common treatments/surgeries like cataract treatment, joint replacement surgery, etc. The Aditya Birla Activ Health Platinum – Enhanced Plan has a waiting period of 36 months for pre-existing diseases, a waiting period of 24 months for specific diseases, and a waiting period of 48 months for genetic disorders.
